La Laguna is gearing up for its tenth annual International Jazz Week, a vibrant music festival running from November 24th to 28th at the Lagunero Casino. Over five days, the event will showcase talented jazz musicians from the Canary Islands and international artists.

Each of the five nights will feature live music, highlighting a diverse range of styles, high artistic quality, and jazz as a cultural gathering point. The festival kicks off on Monday, November 24th, at 8:00 PM with the Iván Rojas Quartet, who will set the tone with their nuanced and contemporary sound.

The music continues on Tuesday, November 25th, with the Jonay Mesa Trío. They will present their unique and creative take on jazz, exploring new possibilities within the classic trio format.

Wednesday, November 26th, offers a double feature. Saxophonist Kike Perdomo will perform with his project Friendship, followed by Manolo Rodríguez presenting Nombres Propios. In this project, Rodríguez explores his own compositions with an intimate and evocative style.

On Thursday, November 27th, the Yul Ballesteros Quartet will take the stage, joined by guest artist Lajalada. Alexabril will also perform, promising a session where jazz blends with modern sounds and distinct artistic flair.

The festival concludes on November 28th with the Cucurucho Valdés Trío. Their performance will be an emotional tribute to the legendary Bebo Valdés (1918-2013), infused with Afro-Cuban roots.

Also performing on the final day is Alba Gil Aceytuno, presenting Aguyro. This project is noted for its distinctive character and its ability to bridge tradition and innovation.

The International Jazz Week of the City of La Laguna 2025 is organized by Imoa. It is supported by the Canary Institute for Cultural Development (ICDC) of the Government of the Canary Islands and the La Laguna City Council, with contributions from various cultural and music organizations.
