La Laguna Council to Upgrade Finca España Parking
La Laguna City Council will begin a week-long project on March 9 to improve a 1,000-square-meter parking area in Finca España, strategically located between the health center and Roberto Torres Park, benefiting local residents and health center users.
The La Laguna City Council has announced plans to improve a key parking area in Finca España. This project aims to help local residents and people using the health center by transforming a council-owned plot of land, about 1,000 square meters in size. It's part of the council's ongoing work to improve city facilities and make it easier to access important public services.
Work is set to begin next Monday, March 9, and should take about a week, if the weather holds. Crews will level the ground, lay down a sub-base, and then apply a final paved surface. Local councilor Ángel Chinea explained that the project also involves repairing the surrounding wall and removing the fence that separates the area from the footpath next to Roberto Torres Park. This will make it easier for people to access the park.
This plot is strategically located between the Finca España health center and Roberto Torres Park, making it a crucial parking spot for both health center patients and local residents. Its importance is highlighted by its location in a busy residential area with restaurants and shops, and its closeness to Avenida de Las Palmeras, a main road in La Laguna. During the first phase of ground preparation, parking will not be allowed in the current dirt area. Later, when repaving begins, parking restrictions will also apply to a section of the nearby plot that is already asphalted.
