The San Cristóbal de La Laguna City Council has announced a series of traffic and parking restrictions throughout the historic center from June 18 to July 3, 2026, to accommodate the filming of the second season of Física o Química: La nueva generación.

The San Cristóbal de La Laguna City Council has announced the logistical plans for filming the second season of Física o Química: La nueva generación, produced by Atresmedia Televisión and Buendía Estudios Canarias. To accommodate the production, there will be significant changes to traffic and parking in the historic center and surrounding areas from June 18 to July 3, 2026.

La Laguna’s selection as a filming location highlights the Canary Islands' growing popularity as a production hub, thanks to local tax incentives and diverse scenery. To manage the impact on residents, the city has coordinated a phased schedule of parking restrictions and road closures.

Key areas affected include:

  • June 18: Parking restrictions begin on Calle Baltasar Núñez.
  • June 19: Intermittent closures on Calle José Magdaleno (8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.) and Calle Baltasar Núñez (1:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.), with additional parking bans on Juan Pedro García, El Ciprés, and José Magdaleno.
  • June 24–25: Restrictions move to Los Bolos, Marqués de Celada, and Avenida Lucas Vegas.
  • June 26: Closures affect Avenida Tabares Bartlet and Calle Las Eras.
  • Camino Mesa Mota: Long-term parking bans will be in place. A 100-meter stretch between numbers 7 and 15 will be closed from early June 29 through the night of July 1. The area near number 50 will be restricted from June 23 until filming concludes on July 3.

While general filming hours are scheduled between 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., the City Council notes that traffic plans may change based on production needs or safety requirements. Access to restricted zones will be reserved for production vehicles only. Drivers and pedestrians are encouraged to follow all local signage posted throughout the affected streets.
