San Cristóbal de La Laguna will implement temporary road closures and parking restrictions to accommodate the filming of two new movies, Mister and Fotg.

Film production in the Canary Islands continues to grow, thanks to attractive tax incentives and the region's unique landscapes. However, this success is once again impacting daily traffic in San Cristóbal de La Laguna. The local council has announced upcoming road closures and parking restrictions to accommodate the filming of two new movies, Mister and Fotg.

To ensure safety while crews are on-site, the city has split the logistical plan into two areas:

For the film Mister, parking will be suspended along a 30-meter stretch of Calle Portugal in Taco, near the former IES Padre Anchieta.

The production of Fotg will require more significant changes in the historic center on Friday, May 29. Work is scheduled to take place in two shifts: from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and again overnight from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM. During these times, parking will be prohibited in areas reserved for the film crew.

Regarding traffic flow, there will be intermittent closures on Calle Alfredo Kraus and its side streets, with detours in place to help drivers navigate the area. Additionally, access to Calle Wagner and its surrounding parking will be restricted to production vehicles only.

While the city council is eager to establish La Laguna as a premier filming location, they are working to balance this growth with the needs of local residents. Officials noted that these plans could change depending on the production's needs or public safety requirements.
