La Laguna is launching its Christmas campaign early on November 20 with enhanced lighting and an expanded "White Night" festival to boost local commerce and tourism.

La Laguna is shifting its urban revitalization strategy this year by starting its Christmas campaign earlier to better support local businesses. The City Council announced that the decorative holiday lights will be switched on Friday, November 20—a week earlier than originally planned—to give shop owners in the historic center more time to capitalize on the busy shopping season.

This change is designed to boost the local economy by capturing two consecutive weekends of high foot traffic. The lighting ceremony, which will feature a special show currently in development, has been moved to the Plaza de La Concepción to accommodate larger crowds. Officials also noted that this year’s decorations are designed to look just as appealing during the day as they do at night, ensuring the historic center remains vibrant around the clock.

On Saturday, November 28, the city will host its traditional "White Night." This popular event will once again run all day, starting early in the morning to encourage residents to visit local restaurants and shops. The program aims to blend community life with commerce, featuring literature, sports, street theater, inclusive activities, and specialized markets.

For the musical lineup, the City Council confirmed that the band M-Clan will perform at the Plaza del Cristo, highlighting a mix of established national acts and local talent. The event will also feature four parades showcasing a variety of local, national, and international artists. By combining culture and commerce, La Laguna aims to solidify its reputation as a regional hub, with more details on the full artistic program to be released in the coming weeks.
