La Chasnera gas station, a decade-long lottery hotspot, finally completed its collection of major prizes by selling the top prize in the El Niño Lottery for the first time.

For over ten years, La Chasnera gas station had given out millions in lottery winnings. Yet, there was one major prize they had never sold – until now. This Tuesday, January 6, they finally completed their collection by selling the top prize in the El Niño Lottery. The lucky gas station had previously sold tickets for the top prize, second, third, fourth, and several fifth prizes in other lotteries, but never for the special Three Kings' Day draw.

They sold just one ticket, number 06703, which won 200,000 euros. Despite it being a single ticket, the team celebrated with extra happiness. José González, the manager of La Chasnera, explained, "It was the only main prize we hadn't given out yet, so we're incredibly happy."

Their lucky streak began in 2013, and they've been winning ever since. González noted, "The statistics are on our side; we sell a lot of tickets, we're well-organized, and maybe our good atmosphere rubs off on the luck too."

He admitted they've started 2026 on a high note. He added that finding out they'd won felt incredible. "Every prize brings joy," he said. "We work for months hoping for days like this, though you also need a bit of luck."

The lucky winner didn't show up to celebrate, but the staff popped open champagne to mark that they had, once again, spread good fortune. "For us, just giving out the prize is a reward," González remarked. "The lucky person will probably stop by in the next few days."

Throughout the morning, the atmosphere was surprisingly normal, even a bit quieter in the cafeteria because it was a holiday. Still, many regular customers came to the counter, asking the staff if they had won any smaller prizes. "The top prize was won, but we didn't get anything?" one customer complained. Later arrivals, seeing the prize sign already displayed, paused to look and entered the station discussing the news.

This win perfectly caps off the gas station's busiest time of year, located at kilometer 54 on the TF-1 highway. Even so, the manager expects queues in the coming days for people to collect their winnings or to exchange them for a ticket in the "draw of the disconsolate," happening next Saturday.
