La 1 continues to be the most-watched public TV channel in the Canary Islands. In October, it achieved a 7.2% audience share, marking its sixth consecutive month as the leader. For the past six months, La Primera has been the top choice for Canarians looking for diverse news and quality entertainment.

The channel ended October with a 12.3% share, its best October performance since 2011. This was an increase of 0.7 percentage points from September and 2.2 points from October last year, representing its biggest year-on-year growth ever for that month. Overall, this was the best October and the best start to the TV season for the group since 2011.

The first broadcast of 'Informativos Territoriales' attracted an average of 816,000 viewers and a 13.7% share, its highest October share since 2011. The second broadcast did even better, with 1,018,000 viewers and an 11.6% share, its best October share since 2018.

In the Canary Islands, Telecanarias is gaining popularity with both its news broadcasts, sometimes reaching up to 30,000 viewers. In October, it also demonstrated its commitment to viewers by providing live news updates, such as reporting on the fatal accident on the GC-500 road. This commitment was further strengthened by signing Helena Sampedro for the third edition of TC.

The show 'Cerca de Ti', hosted by Roberto Herrera, also performed well. It's one of RTVE Canarias' own daily productions that viewers particularly enjoy. This month, some episodes attracted an average of 27,000 viewers. The weekend summary show 'Somos 8 Resumen', also on the public channel, sometimes had over 20,000 viewers.

La 2, which nationally recorded its best October since 2009, also broadcast three RTVE events from the Islands: the Sonora Festival, the Gran Canaria Swim Week, and the 'Tenderete' show from Garachico, featuring the group Misturas, Los Gofiones, and Isabel González from Tenerife.
