Canary Islands comedian Kike Pérez is launching his new show "HUMOr" this week, offering a fresh, critical look at modern society as he kicks off a tour across all the islands.

Kike Pérez, a well-known comedian from the Canary Islands, is launching his new show, "HUMOr," this week. Reports suggest it's a fresh direction for his comedy style. The tour kicks off this Friday at the Nuevo Teatro Viejo in Arucas and will visit all the islands until the end of the year, marking a significant moment in his career.

In "HUMOr," Pérez, who hails from Arrecife, takes a more critical and thoughtful look at modern society. He uses stories and observations to explore current issues like the impact of social media, our need for instant gratification, and the spread of false information. Pérez aims for a "collective therapy humor," but with a sharper edge, targeting those who sway public opinion and profit from dividing society. At the show's launch, where he was joined by Cristóbal de la Rosa (general director of Cultural Innovation and Creative Industries for the regional government) and Francisco Chinea (manager of Multitrack production company), Pérez stressed his dedication to comedy that makes people think.

This new show comes at an important time for Pérez, both personally and professionally. In 2026, he will celebrate 20 years on stage. That same year, in May, he will also welcome his first daughter, Famara. Adding to this shift, the promotional image for "HUMOr" shows him with a serious expression for the first time, highlighting the show's more mature and thoughtful style.

The "HUMOr" tour will visit many places across the Canary Islands. After the Arucas premiere, Kike Pérez will perform on February 28 at the Teatro de El Sauzal. In March, catch him on the 21st at the Auditorio Juan Carlos I in Arafo and on the 22nd at the Teatro Municipal de Tías. April dates include: the 10th at Centro Cultural Guaires in Gáldar, the 11th at Centro Cultural de Maspalomas, the 17th at Palacio de Formación y Congresos de Fuerteventura, the 18th at Teatro Leal in La Laguna, and the 24th at Auditorio Infanta Leonor in Arona. On May 29, he'll be at the Teatro Guiniguada in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. June performances are on the 6th at Teatro Juan Ramón Jiménez in Telde and the 18th at Auditorio de Teror. Kike Pérez will also be at the Teatro Unión Tejina (La Laguna) on July 11. Later in the year, he returns to the Cicca de Gran Canaria on October 17 and the Centro Cultural Federico García Lorca in Ingenio on November 13. The tour wraps up with shows on December 4 at the Teatro Leal in La Laguna and December 13 at the Auditorio Alfredo Kraus.

While on tour, the Lanzarote-born comedian is also getting ready for the launch of "El ambulatorio," a new TV series on Televisión Canaria. Directed by David Sainz, this fictional show stars Madrid actress Carmen Ruiz alongside a cast of local performers.
