The 18th edition of the Keroxen festival returns from September 10 to October 10, showcasing experimental sound and visual art across Tenerife, Lanzarote, Bajamar, and London.

The Keroxen festival is back for its 18th edition, further cementing its reputation as a global center for experimental sound and visual art. Running from September 10 to October 10, the festival will once again center around the El Tanque Cultural Space in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, while also expanding its reach to Lanzarote, Bajamar, and London.

This year’s program is more ambitious than ever, featuring over 30 artistic projects from four continents. Beyond traditional exhibitions, the festival emphasizes collaborative creation through artist residencies.

The opening weekend kicks off on September 10 with performances by Esther Ropón and Ernst Surberg, an audiovisual set from Waq Waq Kingdom and Kalma, and a live performance of the Eraserhead soundtrack by Xiu Xiu. On September 11, the lineup continues with Seefeel, Rakta, Dancelwerk, and a collaboration between the collective Desilence and Hatis Noit. The following day, the festival will debut Ecos, a project exploring cultural connections between Senegal, Haiti, and the Canary Islands, alongside performances by Gnod, Takkak Takkak, and Usted.

The events at El Tanque conclude on October 10 with the premiere of False Vectors by Muqata’a and Fairouz Hasan, followed by sets from Praed, Agua Dulce, Namkhai Yeshi, and Sunday German Flowers.

The festival also maintains its focus on the natural environment with a special event in Bajamar on October 3. This day will highlight ecological awareness and native flora, featuring contributions from Las Arañas del Neptuno, Javier Goldin, and Severine Beata. Additionally, Keroxen is expanding internationally with a series of concerts in Lanzarote and a collaboration with the label Discrepant at Café OTO in London later in October.

Keroxen is supported by the Cabildo de Tenerife, the Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council, the Government of the Canary Islands (via the Canary Institute of Cultural Development), INAEM, the Higher Conservatory of Music of the Canary Islands, and CreaSGR. Now in its 18th year, the festival continues to prove how repurposed industrial spaces can serve as hubs for the cultural avant-garde, blending electronic music, visual arts, and tradition outside of mainstream commercial circuits.

Organizers will release further details regarding additional activities and artist residencies in the coming days.
