Keroxen 2025 launches this Saturday in Tenerife, showcasing experimental sounds, visuals, and installations from international artists like Otto von Schirach and SPIME.IM, alongside Canarian talents like Bliss.

Keroxen 2025 kicks off this Saturday, October 18th, at El Tanque Cultural Space in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The opening night (starting at 7:00 p.m.) will be a showcase of experimental sounds, visuals, and performances.

The lineup features artists from around the globe, including Julián Mayorga from Colombia, the Italian group SPIME.IM, Otto von Schirach from the USA, and Bliss from the Canary Islands. Visual artists VJ Zuri Medina and Vayaina will also be there, presenting a futuristic audiovisual experience.

Throughout the day, you can check out two art installations. "Jauja," a group exhibition, is already open in the plaza outside El Tanque Cultural Space. It's the result of an artistic residency honoring Canarian anthropologist Fernando Estévez and features work from Idaira del Castillo, Nayra González, Mayte Henríquez, Pura Márquez, Andrea Moreno, and Eider Oliva. The exhibition is designed to be playful and collaborative.

Inside El Tanque, you'll find "Vigilancia y deseo" (Surveillance and Desire), a large installation by Néstor Torrens, the festival's director. This piece takes a critical look at modern surveillance, suggesting that desire, rather than just rules, drives it. The installation uses symbolic characters and figures to turn the space into a digital theater, blurring the lines between what's public and private.

Otto Von Schirach creates wild, edgy, and danceable music. His sound is underground, drawing from hardcore techno, trap, IDM, and even reggaeton, with heavy bass, lots of humor, and a fresh, original vibe. He describes his performance as "pure cosmic deliciousness and flavor."

SPIME.IM, the Italian collective, creates projects that explore the look and language of our digital world. They question the limits of identity and how we experience our bodies and the world around us. They mix news clips, memes, and computer-generated images to connect real events with abstract ideas, creating an audiovisual experience that puts the audience in the middle of a flow of information and emotions.

Bliss, a DJ from Tenerife, is known for her diverse style, ranging from intense perreo to raw phonk. At Keroxen, she'll be joined by visual artists Vayaina and Zuri Medina for an immersive show that blends music and visuals. Together, they're pushing the boundaries of the traditional DJ set, creating an experience that blurs the lines between analog and digital, organic and synthetic.

Keroxen continues to be a unique festival, focusing on experimentation, diversity, and bringing different art forms together. This year's program promises to be just as creative and forward-thinking as ever.
