Juan José Bethencourt to Host Multidisciplinary Poetry Launch in Santa Cruz de Tenerife
La Librería del Cabildo in Santa Cruz de Tenerife hosts the multidisciplinary launch of Juan José Bethencourt’s new poetry collection, De no unívocas cercanías, this evening at 6:30 p.m.
Santa Cruz de Tenerife’s cultural scene gets a fresh update this afternoon with a book launch that breaks the traditional mold. At 6:30 p.m., La Librería del Cabildo will host the debut of De no unívocas cercanías, the latest poetry collection by Juan José Bethencourt. Rather than a standard presentation, the event blends literature, music, and visual art to explore the author’s creative world.
Organized by the writer’s close collaborators, the gathering aims to offer an immersive look at Bethencourt’s literary journey and his writing process. Nicolás Rodríguez Kolia, who wrote the book’s prologue, will lead the event by discussing the collection’s core themes and moderating a reading of selected verses.
Poet Elena Villamandos will also join the stage to read from the collection. To round out the experience, a custom audiovisual and sound performance will accompany the readings. This multidisciplinary approach reflects a growing trend in the arts, moving away from rigid, conventional readings to create a more direct, engaging connection between the creator and the audience.
