JMY Celebrates 60 Years as Canaries' Top Material Distributor
Jacinto Muñoz Yébenes (JMY), a leading distributor of materials across the Canary Islands and Africa, marks 60 years of service, highlighting its comprehensive supply program, technical advice, and commitment to innovation and sustainability.
Jacinto Muñoz Yébenes, or JMY, is a company based in Tenerife and Gran Canaria, operating across all seven Canary Islands and in Africa.
We spoke with Javier Rodríguez Muñoz, the company's manager, to learn more about JMY as it celebrates 60 years of top-notch service in its field. "Sixty years in business have allowed us to create a complete supply program that meets our clients' needs," he explained. "This includes everything from decoration and advertising to interior design and general design, offering a wide range of uses."
All the materials JMY supplies are carefully chosen from leading international suppliers. These include well-known names like Exolon, Polycasa, PERSPEX, Panelais, and Luz Negra, among other top companies. JMY boasts 5,000 square meters of warehouse space.
JMY is a leader in distributing materials such such as methacrylate, polycarbonate, sandwich panels, and skylights. They deliver to all the islands from their warehouses: one in the El Mayorazgo Industrial Estate in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, and another in the La Cazuela Industrial Estate in Gran Canaria. Notably, JMY is the only company in its sector in the Canary Islands with offices in both provinces.
Another key strength of JMY is its technical advice for clients. This includes support for workshops and construction projects, as well as studies for any project involving their materials.
They also offer the fastest home delivery service in the market. "That's why our clients trust our service and rate it as excellent," Rodríguez stated.
JMY partners with the best international brands, ensuring high quality. "This means our after-sales service leads to complete customer satisfaction," Rodríguez said. "Groups like Exolon and 3rd Composites (which includes Polycasa and Perspex) have chosen our company to distribute their products."
The company is always working to add new materials. "We've recently introduced a new product line for renovating spaces with a big visual impact, requiring very little construction work," Rodríguez noted. "This offers clients two major benefits: faster construction times and easy installation."
He added, "We are also developing more responsible and environmentally friendly products with our factories, making sure they meet regulations and have all the necessary European Certificates."
Regarding the industry's current state, Rodríguez observed, "Right now, the sector seems to be thriving, though there's always the uncertainty of when things might change. The companies we work with have plenty of work, and almost all are looking for skilled staff to expand their capacity and improve their service."
