Jay Wheeler to Launch European Tour in Canary Islands
Puerto Rican star Jay Wheeler will launch his "La Voz Favorita Tour" in the Canary Islands this December, cementing the archipelago's status as a premier destination for international music acts.
The Canary Islands are becoming a key hub for the Spanish music industry, with top-tier urban artists increasingly choosing the archipelago to launch their international tours. According to Paseando Por Santa Cruz, Puerto Rican star Jay Wheeler has selected Tenerife to kick off his "La Voz Favorita Tour," highlighting the island's growing importance as a major destination for global concert tours.
The tour begins on December 4 at the Palmetum in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, followed by a show in Gran Canaria on December 5. From there, the tour will visit major Spanish cities—including Málaga, Valencia, Bilbao, Madrid, and Barcelona—before wrapping up its European leg at the Palau Sant Jordi on December 19. This extensive tour, which will continue through the United States and Latin America in 2027, showcases the massive appeal of Wheeler’s latest album, La Voz Favorita.
Fans can expect a setlist that blends his newest hits, such as the chart-topping "De lejitos," with fan-favorite tracks that launched his career, including "Fuga," "Refe 1," and his collaboration with Myke Towers, "La curiosidad."
Tickets will be released in two stages. A presale begins on Wednesday, October 7, at 11:00 a.m. for those who register at jaywheelertenerife.es. General ticket sales open on Friday, October 9, at 11:00 a.m., coinciding with the ticket launch for the rest of the tour's Spanish dates. To make the concerts more accessible to younger fans, organizers have confirmed that the "Cultural Bonus" (Bono Cultural) will be accepted, and payment plans will be available.
