The Socialists in Tenerife accuse the president of the corporation, Rosa Dávila, of inaction regarding limiting access to the Teide National Park and failing to deliver on the promise of access only by public transport from 2026.

The Socialists in the Tenerife Island Council say that the president of the corporation, Rosa Dávila, "hasn't lifted a finger" to limit access to the Teide National Park.

They claim that Dávila is "shamelessly" ignoring her promise: from January 1, 2026, it will only be possible to get to Teide by public transport, and for this, special transport interchanges (i.e., parking lots) must be built.

"Absolutely nothing has been done! It is not even known where these interchanges will be, and there is no project yet," said Socialist Councilor Javier Rodríguez Medina. He believes that the president of the Cabildo is simply "throwing dust in people's eyes, making loud statements, and fooling people."

He added that the Teide National Park needs serious planning and management, not just empty promises.
