The 35th International Canarias Jazz & Más Festival will feature Grammy winners Jacob Collier, Yellowjackets, Tigran Hamasyan, and Spanish talent Lucía Rey, with tickets for the major Spanish music event going on sale February 27.

The upcoming International Canarias Jazz & Más Festival, celebrating its 35th anniversary, is set to be a major event in Spanish music. It will feature top international artists alongside new Spanish talents.

Organizers have confirmed several big names, including the multi-award-winning Jacob Collier, the legendary group Yellowjackets, the innovative Tigran Hamasyan, and the acclaimed Lucía Rey.

British musician Jacob Collier, who has won seven Grammy Awards, will perform two concerts with the Gran Canaria Philharmonic Orchestra (OFGC). His mother, Suzie Collier, will direct these shows. They will take place at the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and the Tenerife Auditorium, both of which are co-producing the events. Tickets go on sale February 27 through the venues' usual channels. Collier, who was a hit at the festival in 2017, returns after becoming the first British artist to win a Grammy for each of his first four albums, earning his first award at just 21. His collaboration with the OFGC is thanks to an agreement with his foundation.

The festival will also host Yellowjackets, the American quartet formed in 1980. With nearly 30 albums and two Grammy Awards (plus 17 nominations, including one this year for 'Fasten Up'), the band is a cornerstone of jazz fusion. The current lineup includes Russell Ferrante on piano and synthesizers, Bob Mintzer on winds, Will Kennedy on drums, and Dane Alderson on bass. Yellowjackets began as Robben Ford's backing band and has since become one of the most influential groups in the genre.

From Armenia, pianist and composer Tigran Hamasyan will bring his unique sound. He has just released his new album, 'Manifeste'. Hamasyan is known for blending jazz improvisation and progressive rock with the rich folk traditions of his home country. His style has earned praise from musicians like Herbie Hancock, Brad Mehldau, and the late Chick Corea, helping him build a global fan base.

Finally, Spanish pianist and composer Lucía Rey will perform. Her appearance is part of her recognition as a winner of the Plataforma Jazz España 2026/2027 awards. Rey, who trained at the Royal Superior Conservatory of Music in Madrid and studied further in Cuba and New York, represents the rising national talent in jazz.
