Italian Fugitive Wanted for Armed Violence and Fraud Arrested in Tenerife
Spanish police in Los Cristianos have arrested an Italian fugitive wanted for armed violence and organized economic fraud, facilitating his extradition through a European Arrest Warrant.
An Italian man was arrested in Los Cristianos, Arona, on July 13, demonstrating how effectively European Union countries work together to track down fugitives. The arrest was carried out by the Santa Cruz de Tenerife police using a European Arrest Warrant, a tool that simplifies the process of handing over wanted individuals between member states without the need for lengthy extradition procedures.

By setting up shell companies and creating fake employment records, the group allegedly defrauded the Italian government by claiming unemployment benefits for jobs that never existed.
