Isla Calavera Zombie Walk Rescheduled to November 1 Following National Mourning
The Isla Calavera Zombie Walk in La Laguna has been rescheduled to November 1 out of respect for the victims of the Urda train accident.
The organizers of the Isla Calavera Zombie Walk in La Laguna have updated their schedule. The parade, traditionally held around Halloween, has been moved to Sunday, November 1, following the official mourning period declared after the train accident in Urda, Toledo.
The organizers decided to postpone the event, originally set for Saturday, October 31, as a mark of respect for the victims and their families. While the date has changed, the rest of the event remains the same.
Activities will still center around the Plaza del Adelantado, with doors opening at 5:00 p.m. Attendees can take advantage of professional makeup and characterization services throughout the afternoon to get ready for the march. The procession through the city center is scheduled to begin at 8:00 p.m.
Comedian and actor Aar贸n G贸mez is leading this year鈥檚 event. In addition to appearing on the promotional poster, he will serve as the Grand Master of Ceremonies, guiding participants through the festivities. The organizers encourage everyone to join in, noting that the date change is an exceptional measure taken in light of the national mourning.
