Dancer Irene Olvera will showcase her modern flamenco style alongside a talented ensemble this Sunday at Tenerife’s Teatro Leal as part of the island's April Fair.

The flamenco scene in the Canary Islands reaches a highlight this Sunday with Flamenco entre dos tierras. The show, part of the Tenerife April Fair, will take place at the Teatro Leal in La Laguna at 7:00 p.m. It offers a rare chance to see one of Europe’s most promising flamenco talents in action.

Granada-born dancer Irene Olvera began her training at age eight and has since studied under masters like Antonio Canales, Farruquito, and Iván Vargas. Her performance in La Laguna promises to blend technical precision with a modern, expressive style that has already earned her recognition beyond Spain.

Olvera will not be performing alone; she is joined by a talented ensemble. The production features singers Abraham Campos and Fernando Rey, with musical direction by guitarist Rubén Campos. The show also includes the Estefanía Luque Flamenco Group, featuring artists Estefanía Luque, Sara Gómez, Alexia Expósito, Natalia Tadeo, Ana Mederos, and Cintia Díaz-Espino.

This performance highlights the growing reach of flamenco outside its traditional heartlands. As the genre finds new audiences across Europe, Olvera’s appearance at the Teatro Leal serves as a testament to a new generation of artists who are successfully honoring tradition while capturing the attention of international stages.
