Rather than simply displaying finished pieces, the project aims to blur the line between a gallery and a private studio. Domínguez has moved his own furniture and equipment into the space, blending painting, sculpture, and graphic work to recreate the atmosphere of his personal workspace. This allows visitors to see not just the final art, but the tools, materials, and daily routines that go into making it.
The exhibition is part of the Santa Cruz City Council’s ongoing cultural program. Mayor José Manuel Bermúdez highlighted the importance of these initiatives, noting that they help the public better understand how art is made. By combining dreamlike themes with a studio-style layout, Domínguez’s work invites visitors to connect more deeply with the journey of artistic creation.
