International Ballet Company to Perform Swan Lake and The Nutcracker This Weekend
The International Ballet Company, with dancers from across Europe, will present Tchaikovsky's "Swan Lake" on Saturday and "The Nutcracker" on Sunday at the University of La Laguna's Paraninfo, with tickets still available.
This weekend, the International Ballet Company, featuring dancers from the UK, France, Ukraine, Spain, Italy, and other nations, will perform two beloved classical ballets at the Paraninfo of the University of La Laguna: Swan Lake and The Nutcracker. On Saturday at 8:00 PM, you can see Swan Lake. This Tchaikovsky masterpiece is based on a legend about Prince Siegfried, who falls for Princess Odette. An evil sorcerer has cursed her, turning her into a swan-woman. Their love's power is the key to breaking the spell.
Then, on Sunday at 6:00 PM, it's The Nutcracker, also by Tchaikovsky. During Christmas, a girl named Clara gets a toy nutcracker. When everyone else is asleep, the nutcracker comes alive. Together, they'll defeat the Mouse King's army, journey to faraway lands, and be entertained by dancing snowflakes and sweets from around the world.
