A 44-year-old woman was rescued by helicopter from Tenerife's Teno Rural Park on Sunday after sustaining a moderate lower limb injury on a hiking trail.

Teno Rural Park in Tenerife, with its challenging terrain and popular hiking trails, is a frequent location for emergency rescues. A recent example occurred this Sunday when a 44-year-old woman required assistance after an incident on a path in Buenavista del Norte, within the Teno area, around 1:00 PM.

The woman had sustained a moderate lower limb injury. According to the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (Cecoes) 112, the rescue operation involved mobilizing a helicopter from the Emergency and Rescue Group (GES). This helicopter reached the hiker's location, provided initial care, and then transported her to Tenerife North Airport.

At the airport, a basic life support unit from the Canarian Emergency Service (SUC) was waiting to continue her care. Following an initial assessment, the woman was taken to Nuestra Señora de Candelaria University Hospital for specialized treatment.
