Inaugural TIIM Awards Honor Tourism-Boosting Music Festivals
The inaugural TIIM Awards in Valencia celebrated music festivals like Bigsound and Rototom Sunsplash for their significant boost to tourism, with Sole Giménez receiving the special TIIM Legend Award.
The first-ever TIIM Awards recently celebrated music festivals that have significantly boosted tourism. These included Bigsound (held in Barakaldo, Pontevedra, Seville, Torrevieja, and Valencia), the 17th Ribeira Sacra festival in Lugo, and Rototom Sunsplash in Castellón. The awards ceremony took place at the Roig Arena in Valencia, with Jairo Núñez, president of the Canary Islands Music Industry Association, serving as a jury member.
The event, themed 'Music Loves Territory', had two main parts. First, 'TIIM Experiences' gathered artists and experts to discuss how the music and tourism sectors could work together. Then, the 'TIIM Awards' ceremony, which began at 7:30 PM, honored successful artists and notable projects across seven different categories. The day wrapped up with the special TIIM Legend Award, presented to singer Sole Giménez for her long and distinguished career.
