A man in critical condition was hospitalized after falling into a rainwater tank near the TF-5 highway, not far from Somosierra, in the island's capital.
According to the 112 Emergency Coordination Center, the call came in around 7:30 p.m. Rescuers immediately went to the scene.
Firefighters pulled the man out of the tank. Paramedics provided first aid and stabilized his condition. With severe injuries, the man was taken in critical condition to the Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria University Hospital.
Police and the Civil Guard also worked at the scene, ensuring safety and recording the circumstances of the incident. Road services assisted the rescuers.
