Icod de los Vinos represented Tenerife as the sole tourism delegate at the 28th International Inland Tourism Fair in Valladolid, highlighting its heritage, culture, and nature to attract mainland Spanish visitors who constitute up to fifty percent of its tourism.

Icod de los Vinos City Council attended the 28th International Inland Tourism Fair in Valladolid from November 14th to 16th. They were the only tourism representatives from Tenerife at the event. The fair aims to showcase destinations that offer rich heritage, history, culture, nature, and food.

Icod de los Vinos, famous for its Drago Park, had its own 15-square-meter stand. The delegation included staff from Icodtesa, the local tourism promotion company, and two students from IES San Marcos, studying for a qualification in tourist guidance and assistance.

A recent study on tourism sustainability in the Canary Islands, carried out by two local universities for the Ministry of Tourism and Employment, found that Icod de los Vinos, known as the "City of the Drago," is one of the top ten most visited places in the archipelago. Tourists from mainland Spain make up a significant portion of visitors, accounting for up to fifty percent. This strong interest from mainland Spain was a key reason for Icod de los Vinos' participation in the fair.
