On Saturday evening in La Laguna, around 250 people marched in support of Palestine. The march was organized by the "Global Movement to Gaza".
Participants wanted to show their support for the Palestinians, call for a ceasefire in Gaza, and support the Global Sumud flotilla, which is preparing to break the blockade and deliver humanitarian aid.
People gathered in the Adelantado Square and marched along Carrera Street. Local residents who were relaxing in cafes and on terraces supported them with applause and gestures.
The march ended near the Church of La Concepción. There, posters and flags were unfurled, and words of support were read out. At the end, everyone chanted together: "Free Palestine!".
