Hospiten is offering a special discount on sports heart check-ups for all registered runners of the Tenerife Bluetrail 2026, which will take place from March 19 to 21.

Hospiten is once again sponsoring this important race, organized by the Cabildo through the public company Ideco. They have expert heart doctors (Cardiology and Sports Cardiology specialists) and advanced equipment to perform thorough heart health checks.

This kind of check-up is vital. It's not just for runners, but also for the technicians, coaches, and health experts who help plan training, making sure it's safe and responsible.

The sports heart check-up involves several steps: an interview about any heart risk factors, a full physical exam, an electrocardiogram (ECG), and an echocardiography (echo). The echo closely examines how the heart works and checks for any problems present from birth or developed later. Specialists also perform a treadmill stress test, tailored to each athlete. This test helps rule out irregular heartbeats (arrhythmias) or reduced blood flow (ischemia), and shows how the heart reacts to exercise.

Runners participating in the Tenerife Bluetrail by UTMB® 2026 who want this test can book their appointment online.
