Hodgson Strategies Partners with Judo Halcón for Elite Masterclasses Featuring Spanish Champions

Hodgson Strategies, a company based in the Canary Islands, is continuing its support for children's sports, particularly judo. They believe judo teaches important values like respect, discipline, confidence, and teamwork, which align with the company's own goals.

To help with this, Hodgson Strategies is teaming up with the Judo Halcón academy in Tenerife to host special masterclasses for children. These classes will focus on advanced judo techniques, including tricky throws and ground moves. Leading the sessions will be Fran Garrigós and Adrián Nieto, two of Spain's top judokas.

During these events, young judokas will learn about competition strategies, like using an opponent's own movement to their advantage for takedowns. They'll also explore the core principles of judo: respect, courtesy, and self-control. The masterclasses are for members of the Judo Halcón academy and will be held at their dojo on December 5th and January 23rd, 2026.

Adrián Nieto, the current Spanish champion and a leading national judoka in the under 66kg category, will be at the first session on December 5th. Fran Garrigós will lead the second session on January 23rd, 2026. Garrigós is not only a successful judoka but also a sergeant in the Spanish Air Force. He competes in the under 60kg category and is the reigning World Champion (2023), a three-time European Champion (2021, 2022, and 2024), and won a bronze medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
