Quevedo to repeat Sinatra's feat: A circular stage for concerts will be built in A Coruña
The singer Quevedo will give two concerts at the Coliseum in La Coruña with a circular stage, as it was only once before, 33 years ago, during Frank Sinatra's performance.
This week, the singer Quevedo will give two concerts at the Coliseum in La Coruña. It will be a special show, as the stage will be circular, 360 degrees. This has only happened once before – 33 years ago, when Frank Sinatra himself performed!
The "Buenas Noches Tour" started in Madrid in February and will now visit La Coruña. Tickets for Friday are already sold out, but about 500 are still available for Saturday.
The event organizer, Jaime Casas, says that this is one of the six cities in Spain where Quevedo will perform. He is also impressed by the excitement – tickets for Friday sold out instantly, and tickets for Saturday are also being actively purchased.
"This will be a historic event that cannot be missed," says Casas. He also added that almost a third of the audience will come from other parts of Spain, not just from Galicia.
A representative of the La Coruña City Council, Gonzalo Castro, noted that thanks to the circular stage, the Coliseum will be able to accommodate the maximum number of people.
The last time this format was used was in June 1992, when Frank Sinatra performed.
Castro also emphasized that the city is becoming an important music center in northwestern Spain, hosting such large-scale events.
Belén do Campo, a representative of the local government of Galicia, added that the Galician government and the La Coruña City Council are cooperating to invite "world-class stars."
Thanks to this concert format, more than 21,000 people will be able to enjoy Quevedo's performances over two days.
These two concerts will be Quevedo's only performances in Galicia this year with his new circular show.
Quevedo was born in Madrid in 2001 but grew up in the Canary Islands. He became popular in 2020 with the songs "No me digas nada", "Ahora y Siempre" and "Sin señal".
And his hit "Bzrp Sessions vol. 52", recorded with Argentine producer Bizarrap, remained at the top of the Spotify global chart for 7 weeks in 2022. This made Quevedo the Spanish artist who topped this chart for the longest time, and the song became the seventh most popular in the world that year.
The rapper's success is also confirmed by other figures: his first album "Donde quiero estar" (2023) was listened to 10.92 million times on Spotify on the day of its release. This was a record for a Spanish artist, which he himself broke with the release of the album "Buenas noches".
