Hilton Grand Vacations Launches First Branded Properties in Tenerife
Hilton Grand Vacations has launched its first two branded properties in Tenerife, marking a key milestone in the company's European expansion and the integration of assets acquired from Diamond Resorts.
Hilton Grand Vacations has reached a major milestone in its European expansion with the launch of its first two branded properties in Tenerife. This move marks the final integration of assets acquired from Diamond Resorts in 2021—a deal originally valued at $1.4 billion—and is part of a broader plan to rebrand up to 14 complexes across the continent.
The Royal Sunset Beach Club in Fañabé and the Sunset Harbour Club in Torviscas are not new developments, but rather the result of an extensive modernization project. Both properties, featuring 126 and 124 apartments respectively, have been updated to meet the high standards of the Orlando-based hospitality giant. The resorts offer a mix of vacation ownership and traditional holiday rentals, supported by upgraded wellness, dining, and leisure facilities that aim to boost the competitiveness of southern Tenerife’s tourism sector.
The official opening was attended by senior Hilton executives and local government officials, who welcomed the investment as a sign of Tenerife’s appeal to international investors.
For Hilton Grand Vacations, which serves over 720,000 members worldwide, the Canary Islands are a key strategic hub. The company plans to rebrand three additional properties in Tenerife soon. By unifying its brand identity and leveraging its loyal global membership base, Hilton aims to strengthen its position as a leader in the European luxury timeshare market, using the archipelago as a primary base for its growth.
