In the south of Tenerife, powerful tides caused chaos, throwing rocks onto roads and forcing the closure of the promenade in Arona, with forecasters warning of upcoming storms with two-meter waves.

On Tuesday, there were high tides in the south. Arona was particularly affected, with the sea raging in Las Galletas.

The waves were so strong that they threw stones onto the road near the beach. This was most evident on the TF-66 highway, where it was difficult for cars to pass due to the stones.

On the promenade, the water rose so high that there was a lot of it, and the road had to be temporarily closed to cars and people.

It is said that the sea will become even more turbulent in the near future, with storms and waves of up to two meters on the southwest, south, and southeast coasts of El Hierro, La Gomera, Tenerife, and Gran Canaria.
