In La Laguna, a free tourist program with excursions that introduce the history, nature, and culture of the region will run until the end of September.

There's a cool program for tourists in La Laguna until the end of September! The City Council has organized over 20 different excursions so you can rediscover this place. There will be nature walks, introductions to history, discussions about ecology, and much more.

The "Bajamar Water Route," the "Punta del Hidalgo Route," and the "Tourism in a Positive Key" program have already started. They say that places on the first excursions were snapped up very quickly, but don't worry, there's still plenty of interesting stuff ahead!

Tourism Councilor Estefanía Díaz says that people are very interested in these routes: "The first excursions were completely full! This shows that people are interested in getting to know La Laguna from a different perspective. Such events help us get closer to our history and nature, and it's also good for the local economy."

So what awaits us in the near future?

  • "Punta del Hidalgo Route": August 23, 30 and September 5, 12, 20, 26 and 27.
  • "Bajamar Water Route": August 24, 29 and 31, as well as September 5, 7 and 14.
  • "Tourism in a Positive Key":
    • "Between Puddles and Guanches" – August 24
    • "The Milkmaids' Path" – August 30
    • "World Heritage" – September 3
    • "Ecological Bajamar" – September 6

On the "Bajamar Water Route" you will be shown historical and picturesque places on the coast. There are options for families with children, excursions in English, and even special programs for different groups. The "Punta del Hidalgo Route" will introduce you to the history, nature, and culture of this region. And the "Tourism in a Positive Key" program includes walks through villages, the city, and the coast, as well as stargazing, trail cleaning, visits to eco-gardens, and tasting local delicacies!

Estefanía Díaz adds: "This is not just a walk, but a real journey into the past, a rapprochement with nature and local residents. We want participants to gain new knowledge, wonderful memories, and feel responsible for preserving our city."

All excursions are free, but you need to register in advance on the official La Laguna tourism website.
