The Heliodoro Rodríguez López stadium is getting ready for a big event for youth football on the island. It will host the quarter-final match of the Copa del Rey Juvenil between CD Tenerife and Deportivo de La Coruña. This knockout game, set for 6:00 PM in the Main Stand, will not only decide who goes to the semi-finals but also gives a great boost to the "white and blue" academy. It's a rare chance for their young players to compete in a professional stadium, which is a big deal at this level.
Suso Santana's Tenerife team has fought through two tough knockout rounds to get here.
