CD Tenerife's youth team will host Deportivo de La Coruña in the Copa del Rey Juvenil quarter-finals at Heliodoro Rodríguez López stadium, with tickets priced at 3 euros to encourage attendance.

The Heliodoro Rodríguez López stadium is getting ready for a big event for youth football on the island. It will host the quarter-final match of the Copa del Rey Juvenil between CD Tenerife and Deportivo de La Coruña. This knockout game, set for 6:00 PM in the Main Stand, will not only decide who goes to the semi-finals but also gives a great boost to the "white and blue" academy. It's a rare chance for their young players to compete in a professional stadium, which is a big deal at this level.

Suso Santana's Tenerife team has fought through two tough knockout rounds to get here. They started the competition with a 3-2 win against Sporting de Gijón at the Javier Pérez Sports City, thanks to goals from Páez, Pablo, and Óliver. In the Round of 16, they showed their strength by knocking out Leganés at Butarque. After a 1-1 draw, the game went to a dramatic penalty shootout, which Tenerife won 7-8. Goalkeeper Sosa was the hero, scoring one penalty and saving another.

Deportivo, on the other hand, reached the quarter-finals with strong wins at home. In the Round of 32, they beat Sporting Hortaleza 3-1 at Abegondo. Then, in the Round of 16, they defeated Rayo Vallecano 4-1, also at their home ground.

Both teams come into this match with impressive league records. Deportivo is currently top of Group 1 in the División de Honor with 46 points from 14 wins, 4 draws, and just one loss. They've scored 54 goals and conceded only 13. Tenerife, playing in Group 6, is also fighting for first place, only one point behind UD Las Palmas. They have 16 wins, 2 draws, and one loss, with 55 goals scored and 13 conceded. These statistics show how strong both teams are, both defensively and in attack.

To encourage fans to attend, tickets are priced at a single rate of 3 euros, and season ticket holders can enter for free. Seating will be unnumbered. Coach Suso Santana thanked the club for the chance to play in the main stadium. He praised his players' dedication and skill, and said he hopes for a fantastic atmosphere in the stands.
