Gran Canaria Presents "The Sahara" Book, Film on Sahrawi People

Last week, Gran Canaria's local government presented "The Sahara, Visions from the Canary Islands," a new book and documentary by Isidoro Sánchez. This project is a collaboration between Sánchez, a former Member of the European Parliament, and Milagros Luis Brito, a former minister in the Canary Islands government.
Carmelo Ramírez Marrero, the Gran Canaria Council's head of Institutional Cooperation and International Solidarity, also attended the event. There, the importance of remembering the Sahrawi people's situation was highlighted.
