The Circle of Spanish Series Professionals will host the inaugural Golden Rings Awards, Spain's first ceremony dedicated to TV series talent, on June 20th at the Tenerife Exhibition Center.

The first Golden Rings Awards, organized by the Circle of Spanish Series Professionals, will be held on June 20th at the Tenerife Exhibition Center.

Joan Álvarez, who used to be the general director of the Film Academy and also worked at the Cervantes Institute in Stockholm and Casablanca, explained that these awards are designed to "celebrate the talent in Spanish TV series." He noted that this is the first awards ceremony in Spain specifically for TV series, and it will honor professionals, not just the shows themselves.

Álvarez added that they are working to make this awards gala an annual, important event that will "recognize and celebrate the best of Spanish television production in every way."

He also highlighted the role of the Circle of Spanish Series Professionals. This group aims to "bring together everyone who wants to help showcase talent, strengthen the industry, and build connections among creators, technicians, executives, and others involved in making, promoting, and sharing series."

On Saturday, June 20th, the first awards ceremony will take place. The TV and film industry will compete for 23 awards. Many well-known faces and key figures are expected to attend, as three series or individuals will be shortlisted for each category.

These awards for excellent Spanish series production aim to become a major event in the Spanish TV and film scene. They will highlight the quality of productions and the talent of the professionals involved, covering areas like production, sound, creation, post-production, costume design, and promotion.

Joan Álvarez mentioned that registration for three new awards will open soon: Best Latin American Series, Best International Series, and Best Film Commission or Film Office. Series and Film Commissions interested in these three awards, as well as the other categories, can submit their entries through the form on the official website (premiosanillosdeoro.com) until February 20th. The specific rules for each category are also available on the website.
