Garachico and Agaete won the "Village of Your Summer" contest by Dorada and Tropical.
The Canarian villages of Garachico and Agaete won the "Village of Your Summer" contest by Dorada and Tropical, receiving support from local businesses, video shoots, and celebrations with beer.
Dorada and Tropical companies have summed up the results of the "Village of Your Summer" contest! The winners are Garachico in Tenerife and Agaete in Gran Canaria – they were the most supported by local residents. These villages received the most votes on their islands, and now the brands want to support them and help local businesses.
What will the winners get? Bars and restaurants in these villages will receive cool branded beer coasters from Tropical or Dorada. Also, together with famous bloggers Airam Fernández and Kataysa González, a video will be filmed about each village. These videos will show the life of the village, its inhabitants, interesting stories and traditions – everything that makes it special.
Finally, a real celebration will be held in each village! Tropical and Dorada will bring a whole truck of beer so that all residents can celebrate the victory together. The main idea is for people to feel proud of their village and share it with others.
In addition to the winners, several other wonderful villages reached the final: Tejeda, El Cotillo and Teror in Las Palmas; and La Laguna, Puerto de la Cruz and La Orotava in Tenerife. In honor of these eight villages, a limited series of reusable Dorada and Tropical bottles with a volume of 33 cl has been released. They can already be found in bars in the Canary Islands. Now the names of these villages are a symbol of Canarian identity, which can be seen on local beer.
Cervecera de Canarias says that this competition is a way to celebrate places that connect people with their roots. They want to thank those who voted and make sure that more people learn about these villages, and that local residents feel proud. The company emphasizes that with the help of its beer, they are turning summer into a joint celebration of the identity, customs and traditions of the Canary Islands.
