Civil Guard officers in Güímar have arrested someone for allegedly stealing two vehicles, driving recklessly, never having had a license, and assaulting an officer.
The arrest followed reports of a stolen high-powered vehicle, which was found in Santa Cruz de Tenerife a few hours later.
The next day, while investigating the vehicle theft, officers learned about another stolen vehicle. They quickly found it being driven at high speed through the town, damaging parked cars. They managed to stop the driver and recover the vehicle.
The suspect is accused of stealing two vehicles, reckless driving, driving under the influence of drugs, driving without a license, and assaulting an officer.
The suspect has a previous criminal record for similar offenses. The case has been handed over to the courts.
