Former Nueva Línea vocalists Sofía Marrero, Raquel González, Mayte Cabrera, and Alicia Padilla will reunite for a highly anticipated performance this Saturday at the San Joaquín Patron Saint Festivities in Fasnia.

Tenerife’s open-air party scene, known as verbenas, is buzzing this weekend following news of a highly anticipated musical reunion. Sofía Marrero, Raquel González, Mayte Cabrera, and Alicia Padilla are set to share the stage once again, marking their first joint performance since leaving the Nueva Línea orchestra—a move that previously stirred significant conversation within the local music industry.

The reunion will take place this Saturday, August 15, in Fasnia’s Plaza Francisco Delgado y Díaz Flores. The performance is part of the San Joaquín Patron Saint Festivities and coincides with the 20th anniversary of the Latin music group Tropin. Given the four vocalists' popularity across the island, the event is expected to draw a large crowd.

The festivities begin at 8:30 p.m. and highlight the social and economic importance of these traditional gatherings in rural areas. The lineup also features performances by Tenerife, La Sabrosa, and Wamampy, making it a major event on the Canarian festival circuit.

To manage the expected turnout and ease traffic, local authorities have coordinated extra transport services. The bus company Titsa will increase the frequency of line 033, which runs between the TF-1 highway and the town center. Officials are encouraging attendees to use public transport to avoid parking congestion and ensure a smoother experience for everyone.
