
Five Injured, One Serious, in Arona Van-Car Crash
Five people were injured, one seriously, after a van and car collided on Monday on the TF-28 road near Arona, prompting a multi-agency emergency response.
Five people were injured, one seriously, when a van and a car collided on Monday on the TF-28 road, near the Chayofa roundabout in Arona.
The crash happened at 3:14 PM, and CECOES 112 immediately alerted emergency services. Firefighters secured the vehicles and rescued four people who had been trapped, while the Canarian Emergency Service (SUC) treated all five injured people at the scene.
A 17-year-old boy suffered severe multiple injuries and was taken by ambulance to Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria University Hospital. The other four injured people, all men with moderate injuries, were taken by SUC ambulances to Hospiten Sur Hospital, Hospital del Sur, and Quirón Costa Adeje Hospital.
The Civil Guard is investigating the crash to find out what happened, while the Local Police helped other emergency teams. The Cabildo de Tenerife's Road Conservation Service cleaned the road to make it safe again.
