The first 8 vehicles have already been ordered, costing 1.8 million euros. Among them is a cool fire truck for the city – it can handle large fires in buildings, road accidents, and even factory incidents. Of course, it will help save people.
Two all-terrain fire trucks were also purchased, which can travel through forests, fields, and even the narrow streets of old cities.
In addition, five pickup trucks were ordered for coordinating work and a minibus for transporting rescuers.
But that's not all! A tender for the second batch of vehicles – worth over 2.8 million euros – will be announced soon.
This batch will include two urban fire trucks. One will replace the old one, but it will remain as a "spare." The other will go to a temporary station in Arona. Three all-terrain fire trucks will also be purchased.
Two special rescue vehicles will be purchased for the cities of Guía de Isora and Arona. They are needed to rescue people from under rubble, after accidents, and in other dangerous situations. And Arona will also have a fire truck with a large water tank, which will help put out fires.
