The Filmoteca Canaria is hosting the regional premiere of La restauración, the latest film by director David M. Mateo, as part of its "Time of Memory, Memory of Time" series. This initiative aims to make thought-provoking, contemporary cinema more accessible to the public.
Produced this year, the film follows Marcia, a Madrid art gallery worker whose life is upended when her partner suddenly and inexplicably disappears. The story serves as an introspective look at identity and the past, taking viewers on a journey through both the city and the protagonist's inner world.
To make the film accessible across the islands, the Filmoteca Canaria has scheduled three free screenings:
- Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.: Teatro Guiniguada, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria
- Wednesday at 8:00 p.m.: Auditorio Insular de Fuerteventura
- Thursday at 7:00 p.m.: Espacio La Granja, Santa Cruz de Tenerife
