Filming Wraps on Liteo Pedregal’s Psychological Drama 'Nana'
Director Liteo Pedregal has wrapped production on his latest psychological drama, Nana, which was filmed in Tenerife and stars Sergio Mur, Natalia Rodríguez, and Niko Verona.
Filming has wrapped on Nana, the latest feature film from director Liteo Pedregal. Based primarily in Tenerife since mid-July, the production marks a significant milestone for the Ceuta-born filmmaker, who once again teamed up with screenwriter Caridad Fernández.
Nana is a psychological drama that explores the complexities of human relationships through an emotional love triangle fueled by hidden secrets. The film is produced by Kairos Films and Liteo P.C., with an executive production team including Victoria Alberca, Eva Almaya, Rosa Cañamero, Elsa Núñez, Núria Omenat, and Yolanda Puga.
The story centers on lead actors Sergio Mur, Natalia Rodríguez, and Niko Verona. They are supported by a talented ensemble cast, including Carla Nieto and Gorka Lasaosa, with special appearances by Luisa Gavasa, Macarena Gómez, and Carlos Olalla.
This project builds on Pedregal’s previous success. His earlier short film, Alimezher—a poignant look at Alzheimer’s—earned widespread acclaim at festivals like Fical in Almería and the Madrid-PNR Film Festival, and was featured in the Ministry of Culture’s New Spanish Shorts catalog. That film, which starred Manuel Zarzo, María José Alfonso, and Javier Godino, showcased the thematic depth that Pedregal is now bringing to his feature-length work.
Tenerife remains a key location for the director. He previously used the island as the backdrop for his debut feature, Un hombre de verdad, filming in iconic spots across Santa Cruz and Puerto de la Cruz. By returning to the Canary Islands for Nana, Pedregal continues to strengthen his creative connection to the region.
