Film Production to Cause Traffic Disruptions in Santa Cruz de Tenerife
Filming in Santa Cruz de Tenerife will cause intermittent traffic disruptions and road closures on the Rambla de Santa Cruz from July 3 to July 5.
Filming in Santa Cruz de Tenerife will cause some traffic disruptions over the next few days. According to the City Council’s Department of Mobility, led by Evelyn Alonso, the city is preparing for intermittent road closures to accommodate an audiovisual production.
Local police will manage the traffic, with closures lasting no longer than five minutes at a time. These disruptions will affect the Rambla de Santa Cruz in the following areas:
- Descending direction: Between Calle San Martín and the Méndez Núñez intersection.
- Ascending direction: Between the Pedro Pérez Díaz junction and the Pintor José Aguiar intersection, including Calle Arquitectos Saavedra y Díaz-Llanos.
Schedule:
- Wednesday, July 3: 8:00 PM to 4:00 AM
- Thursday, July 4, and Friday, July 5: 8:00 PM to 3:00 AM
In addition to these short stops, drivers will be prohibited from making turns at the intersections of the Rambla with Calle San Fernando and Calle Arquitectos Saavedra y Díaz-Llanos during these hours.
As the Canary Islands become a more popular filming destination, local authorities are working to balance the economic benefits of the industry with the need to keep traffic moving for residents.
