Fifth Fedola Family Run Set for October 2026 in Costa Adeje to Support Local Charities
The fifth Fedola Family Run will take place in Costa Adeje on October 24, 2026, aiming to raise funds for local charities through a community-focused sporting event.
The organizers of the fifth Fedola Family Run have announced that this year’s event, taking place on October 24, 2026, in Costa Adeje, will once again highlight the importance of corporate social responsibility in the Canary Islands. More than just a sporting competition, the run serves as a platform to raise vital funds for local charities.
A key goal of this year’s race is to surpass the 18,150 euros raised in the previous edition. All proceeds from race bib sales will be donated to three organizations: the Nahia Assistance Association, which supports young migrants and former wards of the state; the Anchieta Association, which protects women and minors at risk; and the Canary Islands Familia Quesada Sánchez Foundation, which assists elderly people in financial need.
The race will once again feature the "Ocean Cross" circuit, designed in partnership with Canaryrun. The route includes both urban paths and a stretch across the sand of Playa del Duque, with options for 5km and 10km distances. Organizers are aiming for 1,000 participants this year, building on the 900 runners who joined in 2025. Supported by the Adeje City Council, the event also features a charity walk and children's races to encourage participation from all ages.
The event relies heavily on the support of Grupo Fedola staff, who provided nearly 100 volunteers last year. Their involvement ensures high-quality post-race services, including food and refreshments, while maintaining a strong commitment to sustainability by minimizing plastic waste.
As part of a growing trend in Spain, this event demonstrates how companies can use their resources to strengthen their social impact. By including workshops and live music, the organizers aim to create a community atmosphere that goes beyond a standard race. Registration is now open on the official event website for the day’s activities, which will conclude at sunset.
