Femete has launched "Femete Impulsa," a Canary Islands Government-funded project providing strategic support and advice to new and young businesses in metal, industry, and advanced technologies to foster regional economic growth and innovation.

Femete, the Federation for Metal and New Technology Companies in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, has launched a major new project. This initiative, called "Femete Impulsa," aims to help the Canary Islands' economy grow in new directions. The project offers strategic support and advice to strengthen businesses in the Canary Islands, particularly those in high-value sectors. It highlights the need to equip new companies with the right tools, as innovation and competitiveness are crucial for the region's development.

Funded by the Canary Islands Government's Ministry of Universities, Science, Innovation and Culture, the program is for new businesses or those up to five years old. This age limit can be extended to seven years for companies in strategic sectors. To qualify, businesses must operate in metal, industry, or advanced technologies. The main aim is to support innovative projects and help them secure their place in the market.

Femete Impulsa offers a range of services, starting with an initial assessment of each business project. This is followed by expert technical advice, strategic guidance, and help in creating a tailored plan for each company. The program also assists in finding opportunities, resources, and funding, and connects businesses within the wider industry, tech, and institutional networks. Additionally, it will provide training and workshops on topics like innovation, project management, digitalization, industry trends, and learning from successful case studies.

José González González, Femete's general secretary, highlighted how important this support is for companies in their early stages. He explained that the project aims to give businesses confidence in making strategic decisions, help them identify growth opportunities, and improve their position in a constantly changing market. The program is designed to be flexible, adapting to each company's unique situation with a practical, results-focused approach.

"Femete Impulsa" will continue until November 30, 2026, providing ongoing support for business initiatives that help modernize and strengthen the Canary Islands' economy. Companies interested in taking part can find the rules and pre-registration details via a link provided by Femete.
