Santa Úrsula school lacks a cafeteria assistant: parents raise the alarm
Parents of students at the Santa Úrsula school are concerned about the lack of supervisors in the dining room, promised by the Ministry of Education, which makes it difficult to care for the children, especially those who need special attention.
At the Santa Úrsula school, parents are sounding the alarm: the promised assistant for the dining room is still missing. At the beginning of the year, the Ministry of Education promised that there would be four supervisors, but so far there are only three.
"Last week, one of the supervisors fell ill, and two people had to cope with 110 children because no one was sent to replace her," says a representative of the parents' council. According to her, children who need special attention simply do not get enough of it. The parents even asked to suspend the operation of the dining room until another employee was found, but they were refused and a third person was sent.
Now parents are worried that the supervisors do not have the right to get sick, because there is no one to replace them. "They know that all the work will fall on the shoulders of their colleagues, as it already happened last week," they say.
The Ministry of Education says that they are waiting for the civil service to find the necessary assistant. But the parents are not satisfied with this answer. "And when will he be sent? By Christmas?", they say ironically.
