An Audi driver nearly hit cyclists on the road to Teide, making a risky overtaking maneuver that sparked outrage online.

Horrific Video from the Road to Teide National Park: Audi Driver Nearly Runs Over Cyclists!

A video is circulating online showing a white Audi A3 grossly violating traffic rules on the road to Teide. The driver made a risky overtake on a sharp turn, swerving into the oncoming lane directly in front of cyclists who were descending at speed.

The video shows the car passing within inches of the cyclists. After overtaking, the driver braked sharply, surprising other drivers. Instead of apologizing, he simply stuck his hand out the window, which further enraged users online.

The video was taken by a driver who was behind the Audi. He posted it on social media with the caption: "How awful are these approaches to Teide!" The video quickly went viral, causing a wave of outrage.

Fortunately, tragedy was avoided this time, but such cases are not uncommon here. The roads to Teide are popular with cyclists, tourists, and drivers, and often become a source of complaints due to dangerous driving.

Due to the difficult terrain – sharp turns, elevation changes, and poor visibility – you need to drive very carefully here. But, unfortunately, drivers often ignore the rules: speeding, overtaking in prohibited places, and ignoring signs.

Teide National Park is our pride and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We must take care of it, but road safety is more important than anything.

Remember: respect between drivers and cyclists is not just a rule, it is a matter of life. Cyclists have the right to safe conditions on the road, without the risk of being run over due to aggressive driving.

In Spain, there are clear rules: when overtaking a cyclist, the driver must maintain a distance of at least 1.5 meters, reduce speed, and not create a threat. Violation of these rules is punishable by a fine, loss of points, and even criminal liability.

In addition, drivers are required to warn of all maneuvers, which the Audi driver obviously did not do.
