At the forum "Equality in Sports: The Role of the Media" at ExpoDeca 2025, experts discussed the progress and challenges in ensuring equal opportunities for women in sports, emphasizing the importance of media coverage of women's sports and overcoming stereotypes.

The forum "Equality in Sports: The Role of the Media" took place at the ExpoDeca 2025 exhibition in the Tenerife Exhibition Center. Prominent journalists Olga Viza and Paloma del Río, as well as officials Cristina García and Yolanda Moliné, discussed the importance of equality in sports.

The forum participants agreed that although there is progress, full equality is still a long way off. Paloma del Río noted that women's sports are a generation behind men's sports. Cristina García emphasized that even now, women's sports receive significantly less attention in the media.

Yolanda Moliné noted that the situation is gradually improving, and today young female athletes already see less difference between opportunities for men and women. Olga Viza emphasized that women were long forbidden from participating in many sports at all, and only perseverance and support helped to achieve some progress.

The forum participants also discussed the role of the media in promoting women's sports. Paloma del Río spoke about cases where she had to fight to ensure that women's competitions received proper coverage. Olga Viza emphasized that it is important not only to increase the amount of material about women's sports, but also to change the approach to coverage, avoiding stereotypes.

At the end of the forum, the participants called for further cooperation between men and women to achieve full equality in sports. Cristina García assured that she would make efforts to ensure that every girl in Aragon has the opportunity to play sports. Yolanda Moliné emphasized the importance of supporting women's sports by the whole society.
