The historic Gran Hotel Taoro in Puerto de la Cruz is now home to Pedro Rodríguez's acclaimed videopodcast "En Casa," a cultural project he began after a Parkinson's diagnosis to demonstrate pursuing life goals despite illness.

The Gran Hotel Taoro, a historic and elegant landmark in Puerto de la Cruz, is now the new home for Pedro Rodríguez's videopodcast, "En Casa." Pedro started this project after being diagnosed with Parkinson's, initially recording from home to comfortably continue his passion for radio and communication.

The show, supported by DIARIO DE AVISOS and broadcast by ATLÁNTICO TELEVISIÓN, features personal interviews with well-known figures, mostly from the Canary Islands. Its aim is to show that people can still pursue important life projects even when facing illness.

After a successful first season, "En Casa" is moving to the five-star Gran Hotel Taoro. The hotel is keen to support modern culture and local projects, making it a hub for history, creativity, and the Canarian community. "En Casa" has become one of the most interesting cultural shows in the Canary Islands. Its first season featured famous guests like choreographer Rafa Méndez, actress Toni Acosta, comedian Petite Lorena, singer Nalaya Brown, journalist Estíbaliz Pérez, writer Yaiza Díaz, communicator Kiko Barroso, and photographer Alfonso Bravo. The second season will offer new intimate interviews and conversations, recorded in a dedicated space within the hotel. This space will become part of the show's look and feel, available on YouTube, Spotify, and Atlántico Televisión — the only private regional channel in the Canary Islands.

By doing this, Gran Hotel Taoro is showing its dedication to local talent, backing projects that encourage thought, discussion, and culture in an easy-to-understand, inspiring, and high-quality way. Gustavo Escobar, the hotel's general manager, said, "It's an honor for us that such a well-made and unique project like 'En Casa' has chosen Gran Hotel Taoro as its new location. We agree with Pedro Rodríguez that places aren't just lived in; they are felt, they tell stories, and they are remembered."

Pedro Rodríguez added, "It's a privilege to record in a place with so much history and soul. Gran Hotel Taoro represents the elegance, calm, and connection to culture that we've always wanted to share. Here, every conversation becomes a complete experience."
