Two people were moderately injured after a motorcycle and car collided on Avenida de Oriente in El Tanque, northern Tenerife, on the night of February 21st, renewing focus on road safety in the area.

Road safety in areas just outside towns, where local traffic mixes with longer-distance journeys, is once again a concern after an incident in northern Tenerife. Emergency services reported that two people were moderately injured on the night of February 21st, after a motorcycle and car crashed in the town of El Tanque.

The crash happened on Avenida de Oriente, a road known for heavy evening traffic, and triggered a coordinated response from Canarian authorities. The Canary Islands Government's 112 Emergency and Security Coordinating Center received the alert at 8:21 PM and immediately sent medical help.

The Canarian Emergency Service (SUC) sent a basic life support ambulance to the crash site. Medical staff treated the injured: a 27-year-old man with several moderate injuries, and a woman with multiple bruises, who was also moderately injured. Both were transferred to the Hospital del Norte to receive specialized care. While these moderate injuries require hospital observation, they are not life-threatening. This demonstrates the emergency system's effectiveness in quickly stabilizing and transporting those who were hurt.
