El Rosario Council Signs €92,000 Park Maintenance Contract
El Rosario City Council has signed a nearly 92,000-euro, two-year contract with Picconia Gest Sociedad Limitada to maintain 18 children's parks, 13 outdoor gyms, and three pet areas, ensuring their safety and functionality for residents.
El Rosario City Council has signed a contract to maintain its public parks and leisure areas. This move highlights how important these community spaces are for the quality of life of local residents. The council announced that it will spend nearly 92,000 euros over the next two years to keep these facilities working well and safe.
The contract covers 18 children's parks, 13 outdoor gyms for calisthenics and other healthy exercises, and three pet areas (one of which is still being built). The company Picconia Gest Sociedad Limitada will do the work. This includes putting up signs with inclusive pictures, carrying out five extra deep cleans each year, and writing regular reports about what's been done, repairs, inspections, and ideas for improvements.
The main goal is to keep these areas in top condition, making sure they are safe, work well, and are easy for everyone to use. This includes both regular upkeep and fixing problems when they arise, all to reduce risks and make the equipment last longer. The council stressed that this project comes from a need voiced by residents, showing the council's dedication to looking after public spaces and encouraging active living. El Rosario's Mayor, Escolástico Gil, said these spaces are key places for people to meet and socialise in the neighbourhoods, especially for children and older people, who need extra safety.
